We, the pastors of the Family of Evangelical Churches of Armenia, were informed from the “First Armenian News and Analyses” website which was announced on August 30, Friday 5pm, about the meeting that will take place in Yerevan on September 2-3 on behalf of the European council intercultural dialogue on religious issues. We were informed that “high ranking spiritual leaders, representatives of the Armenian Apostolic Church, international religious and nonreligious civic organizations of Armenia, various European council institutions and secretarial representatives” were invited to the meeting with the presidency of the European council minister committee’s president, foreign minister of the Republic of Armenia Edvard Nalbandian.

We are puzzled and full of regret that none of the churches of the Family of the Evangelical Churches of Armenia were informed by the organizers and invited to be part of this gathering. While taking into account the importance of the discussed topic “Freedom of Religion in the modern world – challenges and guarantees” and our great interest, we will be delighted to partake in this meeting.
