The Armenian Human Rights Defender is ready to make every effort within the framework of his competence to solve the problem between the protest actions participants and representatives of the Armenian Apostolic Church. This is stated in the statement by the Armenian Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan, in which he touched upon the incident of the attack on Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II.
According to the press service of the Human Rights Defender, the statement reads as follows: “The latest events connected with the Armenian Apostolic Church are quite concerning. Monitoring shows, that during these events tendencies of using force and even violence were noticed. This phenomenon is dangerous from the point of view of tolerance and solidarity in society.
