The International Religious Freedom Report is a tool required by U.S. law to ensure that U.S. policy makers can take into account abuses of religious freedom throughout the world. Religious freedom is a universal right enshrined in key international human rights documents, including the Universal Declaration on Human Rights. Religious freedom is a source of stability for societies and a foundation for democratic governance.
