UNESCO will bring its experts to assess the damage caused by the earthquake to the historic fortress of Gaziantep in Turkey and the citadel of Aleppo in Syria, the organization’s press attaché Tom Mallar told RIA Novosti.

The historic fortress of Gaziantep in Turkey and the citadel of Aleppo in Syria, both of which are UNESCO World Heritage sites, were affected by the 7.4 magnitude earthquake that struck Monday morning.
